The Cleavleand Show?

As you probably already know, Family Guy is going to have a spin off show for Cleveland. Ive read a lot of people saying that this show seems like it is going to be really boring because a lot of people aren't that interested in Cleveland's character very much. And a lot of people that wrote about it said that they would of loved to see a Quagmire spin off instead. This got me thinking. Family guy has put more racial stereotypes and has crossed the line harder then any TV show Ive come across. Is there something that the writers for Family guy are trying to make up. Maybe they have crossed the line one to many times and think making a show based around a black family will help them look a little less racist. I sure hope not. Family guy is too dam good of a show to just give in to the socially acceptable norms that some people see. I really want to think that they wouldn't stoop to this level. But who knows, anything is possible. Do you think that this spin off show is trying to make up for anything Family Guy has done in the past?

  1. i don't think so im a huge fan of family guy and has probably seen every episode and i don't think that the show is racist. do they cross the line? absolutely, all the time but i feel like they don't target one particular group all the time. they target all groups of people eually if that makes sense.
ps i would much rather see a show based around quagmire too.

  2. I think that family guy really tries to make points with about rascism and things of that nature with their comedy. Unfortunately, I think the point is lost a quite a few(At least that's how it was before Seth McFarland left the show). However as for the Cleveland spin-off, it is probably just another Hollywood move that they make when they have something that makes a lot of money. They do it all the time with movie sequels. THey think that they will continue making lots of money with their new product because it has ties to the old.
